You want something that provides comfort and support, which is why it takes time and research to find and decide on the perfect fit. Once you’ve figured out the right mattress for you, you just have to wait for your new mattress to arrive. Here are things you can do to get ready for your mattress delivery.
Get The Old Bed Ready
Start by removing anything that is on the old bed, including the comforter, sheets, pillows, and pillowcases. Don’t forget your mattress cover if you have one. Make sure that there is nothing damaged or stained about the old boxspring and mattress. If you’re keeping them for a different room, you want to make sure they are sanitary. If we are removing them, it’s good to know ahead of time what we are dealing with.
Clear Out A Path
Next, make sure that there is a clear path for us to get your mattress to the bedroom. Clear clutter away from the doors and pick up anything off the floor that we could trip or slip on. While we deliver, we will need to maintain social distancing, so it is important to have this done ahead of time. Secure pets in another room so that they don’t get upset that there are strangers in the house or get underfoot while we carry a heavy mattress. Cats have been known to try to hide in the old box frame, and we don’t want to take your feline friend with us – make sure they are safely locked away.
Be Ready At Home
This may sound like an odd thing to list, but it’s not unusual for people to “run out real quick” right before we get there and take longer than they intended. Make sure someone is home during the delivery window. If you don’t answer when we call, please at least have space on your voicemail so that we can leave a message. Finally, once your new mattress is delivered, check it out and don’t be afraid to ask any questions that you have.
